A Walk – East  Kip and Turnhouse Hill

Start  Threipmuir car park 166638 and follow sign post for “Nine-mile burn”. Head  South east take a short detour to the summit of Hare Hill, then return to the  path to the junction at 174603. Take the left branch and continue over West  Kip, East Kip, Scald Law, Carnethy Hill to Turnhouse Hill. Continue East  descending to 229631 and cross the out fall from Glencorse Resr. From here  follow the road Northwest past Glen Cottage and Glencorse Resr. and slowly  climb to the coll at 204650 mid way between Bell’s Hill and Harbour Hill.  Continue West on the path to the Ranger centre car park at Harlaw Resr.

B Walk –

Start  at the Ranger Centre car park at Harlaw Resr. and head South-west along the  path on the west side of Harlaw and Threipmuir Resr. Follow sign for Nine  mile burn to 165629 then follow the road and track East to 179625. Leave the  track and head to the summit of Black Hill, and drop back down to join the  track at 18764. Cross the outfall from Threipmuir Resr and continue on to the  starting point at Harlaw Resr Ranger Centre. 

Approx.  distance:  9.5km

Total  ascent: 300 m

Min.  walking time: 3.5-4 hrs
