A Walk – Ben Ledi & Ben Vane
Return to junction next to the bridge and turn left onto a waymarked footpath (NN587091)into the woods. Ascend the well defined path. Path swings left (NN573093) to climb towards the southern nose of Ben Ledi.Path then swings right to join and ascend the southeast ridge of the mountain. Ridge is broad and grassy. After a couple of false summits the rockier summit, topped by trig point and an iron cross is reached. Beyond Ben Ledi's summit the path follows a series of fence posts along the crest northwards to a small cairn marking the top of another path heading down to Loch Lubnaig. Ignore the cairn and on a much fainter path, keep heading northwards along the grassy crest. Pass Lochan nan corp and minor summit (marked 722m on OS Landranger map). Cross the long bealach and a wet path aside fence posts is followed up a gentle incline. The crest to Ben Vane turns south west. Alternatively the direct ascent can be made by slogging up thick grass heading west, then north west.
Return along the crest. Continue to the lowest point of the bealach and use the obvious path 300m beyond Lochan nan corp to descend. Cross Stank Glen's burn and follow a marked path heading into the forest. Path twists and turns making a direct route for log cabins below. Once down walk along the road to return to the carpark.
Start at Car Park south of Loch Lubnaig over Garbh Uisge.
Approx. distance: 17.5 km
Total ascent: 1250m

Once close to the stream a clear path descends into Stank Glen, keeping to right of stream. Head back to start as for A walk.
Approx. distance: 10 km
Total ascent: 760 m
Min. walking time: 4-6 hrs
