Coastal walk and Social

The Saturday evening walk was held on 15th June and all walkers started in Inverbervie. A short walk through the town soon led us to a cycle path and then easy walking south to eventually end up in Johnshaven. The weather was warm and dry and little or no breeze. The path is well kept and made for easy walking. The route passed through the old fishing village of Gourdon which still has an active harbour, but mainly used for pleasure and leisure now.

Irene, Jan and Jean collecting rubbish on the way. (Well done girls).

As a token gesture, several members carried rubbish bags and collected waste and rubbish from the beach and deposited this in bins at the end of the walk. Thanks to all for their effort in helping to make this a safer environment for our marine wildlife. When the group arrived at Johnshaven a friendly welcome was received, and a meal was served in the Anchor Hotel before the journey home.
