Silver Jubilee in 2003
In 2003 the club celebrates 25 years of
existence.
The beginning...
The club was formally constituted at a meeting on 7th September 1978
in the Hill Hall, Upper Allan Street, Blairgowrie.You can find out more about the start of the club in the history page.
EVENTS:
These events are based on the results of a questionnaire
presented to club members between December 2000 and March 2001.

Replicate walks of the first club meet
The club will arrange a walk to Glen Doll to cover Mayer and
Dreish and the Loch Brandy areas in September 2003 on a
Sunday as close as practicable to the original date of the 17th of September.
There will be a meal following this walk.
It is hoped that we will exceed the original figure of forty seven attendees.
Details are still to be arranged - and will be posted on this web site as soon as they have been confirmed.
These walks were also done on the 10th anniversary in 1988.

Exhibition of photographs and memorabilia
An exhibition of photos and memorabilia (including stories etc.) will be
made in Blairgowrie in the summer of 2003.
For this we need YOUR photos, memorabilia, stories, etc. If you're happy to share, lend, provide any of the above please let us know using the Silver Jubilee form (still to be added!) or contact any member of the silver jubilee committee. For photographs we need to see a print or slide - if used, the negative or slide will be used to produce a full print. All material will be returned. We would like stories that show different aspects of the club throughout it's existence to date. These could range from the serious to the lighter side, characters in the club and so on.
Souvenir Booklet: We also hope that the material collected for the exhibition can be made into a Silver Jubilee "souvenir" booklet available to members and public alike.

Long Weekend to Ireland
This is to the Killarney area, (Macgillicuddy Reeks) on the weekend of 4th
to 7th July 2003.

Club T-shirts, Polo shirts, fleeces:
Orders for these will be taken from early September 2002 onwards so that
members will have them for the start of 2003.
The embroidered design has been decided on and samples have been produced by Lorraine Welsh. The design incorporates the club logo surrounded by the club name. The 1978 - 2003 text appears below the main design (see below).
